The Legal Aid Society, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, announced recently that Iska Hoole has joined the Tullahoma office as managing attorney.
Prior to joining the Legal Aid Society, Hoole was a solo law practitioner. She worked as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society from 1998-2003. Hoole’s prior work experience also includes serving as a human rights representative for the Tennessee Human Rights Commission and as an attorney for the Tennessee General Assembly.
“Iska worked for our Tullahoma office for more than four years as a staff attorney and we’re happy to have her back as the location’s managing attorney,” said Gary Housepian, executive director of the Legal Aid Society. “She is an amazing advocate for human rights and a trained mediator. She will be of great assistance to our Tullahoma clients.”
Hoole graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of the South. She also has completed the Dispute Resolution Program and VORP Training and is a Rule 31 mediator.
The Legal Aid Society gives free civil legal aid to people who have nowhere else to turn. It serves 48 counties from offices in Clarksville, Columbia, Cookeville, Gallatin, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Oak Ridge, and Tullahoma. The Legal Aid Society is funded in part by United Way.
