Attention job seekers: next month, the Good Samaritan Ministry of Tullahoma will host a Good Samaritan Career Day featuring the “Career Coach,” a 35-foot bus equipped with computers, Internet access, and instructors to help people write resumes, train for interviews and land a job.
The “Coach” will be parked at Northgate Mall on Friday, June 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to train and instruct job seekers on everything from how to dress for the interview to how to answer the top 10 questions asked by employers.
The ministry’s director, Tim Keller, told the Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen Monday night that the event will be a good opportunity for both employers and job seekers to connect.
“This will be great for anyone looking for a job,” Keller said, “and we also want to invite all the area businesses to come and set up booths so they can talk to prospective employees in the community.”
Job seekers are asked to bring their work history so that instructors can help them present their information to prospective employers in the form of a professional resume.
“If you have any questions, feel free to come see me from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, at my office 210 East Grundy Street, or call me at 455-7353.”
