While the fall football season is just under way and the golf season has been in full swing for nearly a month, both the Tullahoma High School volleyball team and the THS girls soccer team will see their first regular-season action this week.

Both teams have been through preseason scrimmages.

The Lady Wildcats soccer team was blanked in a couple of preseason matches against Oakland and Beech. Tullahoma will look to put the preseason out of mind and focus on the regular season this week as they host Warren County at the East Middle School soccer field on Tuesday.

The varsity match is set for a 7 p.m. start. It will follow a 5 p.m. junior varsity match.

The Lady Cats will then turn their attention to the annual Chattanooga Christian School tournament, which is set for Friday and Saturday.

Road trips to Riverdale (Aug. 28) and Lawrence County (Aug. 30) close out the month. As Tullahoma vies for another District 8-AAA crown, key dates on the THS schedule include home matches against Franklin County and Columbia, and road games at Shelbyville and Lincoln County.

Meanwhile, the Tullahoma volleyball team has a busy first week.

The Lady Cats open their regular-season slate on Monday as Warren County visits for a 4 p.m. match. Tullahoma then travels to Grundy County on Tuesday.

The Lady Cats will be back at the THS gymnasium on Thursday to take on Fayetteville City at 4 p.m. Next week Tullahoma will wrap up the month with home matches against Franklin County (Aug. 28) and Lawrence County (Aug. 30).

The volleyball team will play each district team in a home and away schedule. The volleyball season wraps up on Oct. 4.
