First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma is introducing a new worship service called “The Gathering” to be held in the Williams Family Center.
The inaugural service will be held at noon on Sunday, Feb. 21. Services will follow traditional worship, which is held at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.
“The Gathering is an alternative worship service planned to target those who are looking for something a little different than a traditional service,” said Christy Sherrer, Christian education and youth director.
“This will be a relaxed service that will use visual arts and hopes to utilize all of our senses,” she said. “It will be somewhere in between emerging and traditional. The music will be accompanied by acoustic guitar and other instruments.
“We hope everyone will join us at 11:30 for fellowship time before The Gathering and after the 10:30 a.m. traditional service.”
The church is located at the corner of Washington and Grundy streets. The Rev. Stephen Yates is the pastor.
