A resident of Twelve Oaks Road in Tara Estates has been charged with sexual battery and domestic assault.

Jeffrey Allen Ready, 72, was arrested on May 15 by Tullahoma Police Officer Justin Smith and Detective Rana Pawlowski.

According to Officer Smith’s police report, the parent of a 19-year-old female met the officer at the entrance to Tara Estates and stated that his daughter had been touched by Ready at his residence.

The female told the officer that she entered Ready’s residence and that he commented on her figure. “He lifted her shirt and touched her breasts,” the police report states.

According to the report, Ready then told her that he wanted to show her something on the computer in the bedroom.

Once in the bedroom, according to the police report, Ready allegedly locked the door and touched the young woman on the bed, despite her telling him to stop.

The victim then escaped the bedroom and called her parents.

Detective Pawlowski was notified and she made the decision to charge Ready with domestic violence. The detective then met him in Coffee County General Sessions Court Tuesday and served him with the sexual battery warrant.

He was booked into the Coffee County Jail and was released after posting a $22,500 bond.
