Larry Flatt, of Warren County, has been named the executive director of the new advanced robotics program at Motlow State Community College, according to Hilda Tunstill, interim president of Motlow.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Flora W. Tydings has appointed Hilda Tunstill to serve as interim president of Motlow State Community College until a search for the college’s next president is concluded.

Robert Stevens, Motlow State Community College trustee, Rutherford County commissioner and attorney-at-law, will be the commencement speaker on May 6, when he addresses Motlow’s largest graduating class, according to Brenda Cannon, director of special events.

All current Motlow State Community College Tennessee Promise students have until Dec. 1 to complete eight hours of community service in order to remain eligible for the Tennessee Promise scholarship.
