The Coffee County Lannom Memorial Public Library and Hands-On Science Center have both created schedules of activities for Fall Break next week, Oct. 7-11. No library card is needed to attend.

All ages are welcome to come to a LEGO free-build at 3 p.m. Monday at the library. Also, on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m., there will be a showing of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu for students ages seven to 18. Popcorn will be provided.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Family Story Time will begin at 10 a.m. The program will include songs, stories and crafts for children at the kindergarten level and below. At 3 p.m., children ages nine through 12 are invited to participate in a “Nancy Drew Mystery” event.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, Story Time for babies and toddlers will be at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. for children age three and under. Siblings are welcome to attend as well. At 3 p.m., there will be a teen program, providing an afternoon full of slime fun. Another family story time will take place on Friday at 10 a.m.

The Hands-On Science Center is holding a fall camp from Friday, Oct. 4, extending into all of next week. Camp is from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Every day, campers will learn about a different scientific topic including how clouds, thunder and lightning are formed.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the campers will attend a cooking class at 1 p.m. They will also participate in team building exercises and hear from guest speakers all week long.

There are an array of activities for all ages at the library and Hands-On Science Center during fall break. Bring family members and friends for a week of fun during the break from school.
