At the June 24 meeting of the Board of Mayor and Alderman, Mayor Lane Curlee proclaimed July as National Parks and Recreation Month.
To celebrate, Tullahoma Parks and Recreation is hosting a Lunch & Learn program Wednesday, July 17, at D.W. Wilson Community Center.
A presentation will be given by Tennessee State Park naturalist, Randy Hedgepath. He will speak about the latest in Tennessee State Park programming. Hedgepath plans to offer a variety of ideas on how to enhance your time in the parks and how to make your next state park visit the most memorable.
The program begins at 12:30 p.m., and the presentation will conclude at 2 p.m.
Call 455-1121 to reserve your seat for the event. The cost to attend is $9, which includes lunch.
Please note that marking yourself as "Going" or "Interested" on Facebook does not count as a reservation.
