The season of holiday shopping is kicking off at the Tullahoma Art Center this weekend.
Saturday, the TAC will be hosting the Christmas Bazaar Open House from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“I thought it would be something nice to kick-off the Christmas Day shopping season,” said TAC Executive Director Pauline Steinbrink.
The theme for the open house will be based on the 1940’s to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day.
Local artisans will set up booths in the gift shop and gallery for anyone who’s still looking for gifts. All the items will be handmade or hand crafted. The TAC’s gift shop will be open as well.
The open house will have a variety of events for guests.
Rebecca Heid of Heid’s Homestead Creations will be doing various cooking demonstrations of making healthy food while Valerie Lorenz will be hosting ballroom dancing demonstrations.
Instructors at the TAC Jenifer Howland and David Knox will have their students play holiday music at 3:15 p.m.
Howland teaches piano on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Knox teaches guitar from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
TAC’s will have its normal Saturday hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. before the open house.
