The 63rd Tullahoma Christmas Parade sponsored by Stan McNabb brought in over 100 floats down Jackson Street Friday night, all decorated for this year’s theme “Santa’s Workshop on Jackson”

With a great deal of businesses, schools and other organizations spending weeks planning their floats and decorating them, the stakes were high when it came time to judging each one and picking the winners.

Each float was placed in one of several groups: president’s award, business, CEO partners, jingle bell music, and civic or nonprofit. The floats were judged on character, decorations and, of course, Christmas spirit.

In the business category, first place went to Signature Design Salon Emporium. Second place went to Ascend Federal Credit Union.

In the CEO category, first place went to Bel-Aire Elementary School Cafeteria. Second place went to McMurr’s and Jack T. Farrar Elementary School.

In the civic and nonprofit category, first place went to the Scouts of Lynchburg. Second place went to New Creation Church.

In the jingle bell category, first place went to Tullahoma Fire Department. Second place went to Rogers Group.

The honorary President’s award went to Tullahoma Fire Department.

Organizers say this year’s parade will be hard to top next year, with a record-breaking number of entries and a plethora of creativity making the 2019 edition a ringing success.
