Earlier this summer, construction began on a new apartment complex on the corner of William Northern Boulevard and Cedar Lane that will be targeted toward senior citizens.
The blueprints are modeled after the already existing Parkview Apartments with locations in Knoxville and Maryville.
“The blueprints call for a 102-unit building,” Thom Robinson, Tullahoma Area Economic Development Corporation (TAEDC) Executive Director, said. “One hundred of the units will be available for rent. Two of them are being held for future Parkview staff such as the landlord or groundskeeper.”
Per Parkview’s website, floor plans for a two-bedroom, large one-bedroom, small one-bedroom and studio apartments are available at their existing locations, suggesting that the case could be the same for Tullahoma’s new addition.
The complex is set to open in early summer 2020, according to Robinson.
According to Parkview’s website, the apartments are “sensibly designed for active seniors and offer a comfortable and gracious home in which residents can enjoy life to its fullest.”
Per a previous update in The News from May, the 55,000-square-foot-per-floor, will sit on 8.2 acres and include a secure courtyard and small dog park for residents.
Additional on-site amenities are still expected to include dining options as well as a movie theater, library, fitness center, beauty salon and barber shop, and community laundry room.
Available services are expected to include two meals per day, housekeeping, transportation to appointments and a variety of social, recreational and cultural activities.
No information on leasing at this particular Parkview complex has been released yet.
The News will have more information about this project as it becomes available.
