The Come to the Table ministry recently held its very own coat drive to help Tullahomans in need of a new winter coat for the recent cold weather. The drive collected more than 250 coats for adults, teens and children, according to organizers Jennifer Ray and Gloria Damron.

Sunday, Dec. 1 saw the ministry open the doors of Damron’s Restaurant for two hours for anyone needing a new winter coat and enjoy some nice hot cocoa and Christmas cookies.

Ray and Damron said they were encouraged by the response to their social media campaign and didn’t rule out the possibility of hosting another coat drive later in the winter or next November, depending on the need of the community.
