Is anyone in need of a little self-care? Magnolia Facial & Body Med Spa officially opened on Tuesday. Owner Audrey Gail Shasteen celebrated by holding an open house offering tours of the new business as well as charcuterie, drinks and door prizes as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Shasteen offers a list of spa treatments and is already planning on adding more treatments in the very near future. The spa has a spacious lobby as well as two treatment rooms, located not too far from downtown.
Right now, Shasteen is a one-woman band, offering a variety of treatments for her customers. “I do facials, lymphatic drainage massages, micro needling and acne treatments,” Shasteen said. “I also offer Oxygenetix, which is makeup with an aerobic effect that allows for the vital flow of oxygen to the skin, allowing customers to use it immediately after a treatment such as micro needling.”
Micro needling is a trending dermaroller procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. According to Healthline, the purpose of the treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin.
Shasteen will also offer laser and cool-sculpting when a doctor comes to join her team part-time next month. “We are hoping to also offer intravenous infusions for hydration, extra vitamins and nutrition,” she said. “This will be in about a month or so when my doctor joins me.”
The lack of spas in this area inspired Shasteen to open the new business. Her pricing is reasonable, compared to other places if one were to go to a larger city such as Murfreesboro or Nashville.
“Everyone is welcome, just come by, call or text me and I will do my best to help you achieve your skin goals,” Shasteen said.
