Jerry Neill
The church of Christ at Cedar Lane is welcoming Jerry Neill as their lead preaching and teaching minister. His first Sunday to teach will be June 18.
He and his wife Linda Sue are coming to Tullahoma from Campus View Church of Christ in Athens, Georgia, where he has served as senior minister since 2013. Neill has 31 years of experience, spanning a broad range of leadership, teaching and engagement responsibilities.
Neill has a Doctor of Ministry from Abilene Christian, and his undergraduate and Masters of Divinity are from Harding University. He is also engaged in a nationwide mentorship program that encourages and develops young ministers.
Neill believes that the Spirit-Empowered people remain God’s primary strategy for loving, restoring and calling the world back to himself. The challenge of ministry centers on God’s people maturing into Christ’s very likeness, becoming a church that knows Jesus, engages their community with mercy and truth, and fosters a keen reliance on God for strength and wisdom in every endeavor.
Neill dreams of a rich body life that serves as a signpost of the kind of community God will one day bring to a renewed heaven and earth. The community is invited to join the Cedar Lane church in welcoming Jerry and his family to the community.
