Felony charges have been leveled against a gun-wielding man for a Christmas Day shooting at a local laundromat.
The suspect, Anthony Satchell, 34, has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.
His charges come thanks to close circuit surveillance footage that captured the incident in its entirety. The camera was located at B&C Laundry where the incident took place this past Dec. 25 and police have been working with footage captured during the armed encounter since that time. According to police reports, the video showed three vehicles pull up at the coin op and four white males get out of the cars. The video then allegedly shows Satchell pointing a black handgun at three different people inside the business.
“He is observed waving the handgun at the victim,” the report reads, noting the gun can then be seen being fired before Satchell backs out of the laundry. As one last act before leaving the scene, Satchell can be seeing popping two tires on one of the victims’ cars.
While Satchell has been targeted as the gunman, police are still looking for the individuals who were with him. The reason for the shooting has not been revealed. No one was believed to have been injured in the discharge of the weapon.
