A man fleeing the scene of an alleged break-in ended up having the air let out of his run from the law when he ran over spike strips, leaving his truck limping away.

The alleged driver, Joseph Good, 33, was caught at Ada Ferrell a few minutes after his tires were flattened by the police spike strips.

Police got in pursuit of his Dodge Dakota after the responded to investigate an attempted break-in at Legg Road where witnesses said two armed males had smashed the window at a residence. Officers saw the suspect vehicle leaving and fell in behind him in pursuit. However, the fugitive refused to stop, prompting police, who were ahead of the chase, to deploy their spike strips.

“The vehicle hit the strips but we lost sight of it,” the police report says, noting the drive continued fleeing on flat tires.

Good along with passenger, Joshua Good was located at the Ada Ferrell Apartments and taken into custody. The driver faces charges of evading arrest and possession of a forged license plate after police found his license sticker was stolen.
