A Tullahoma teenager was struck by a vehicle while walking to school Monday morning.
City officials confirmed to The News that a 13-year-old male was attempting to cross Ovoca Road near Regwood Drive when he was struck by a vehicle. Southbound traffic on Ovoca was stopped at the traffic light at the Kings Lane intersection, but northbound traffic continued.
“As the minor crossed between stopped cars, he stepped into the path of oncoming traffic,” city officials said.
He was struck by a vehicle and injured, according to city officials. The boy was transported via LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
