Joining in on the holiday kickoff in Tullahoma is the Tullahoma Day Care Center’s Tour of Homes and Silent Auction.
The Tullahoma Day Care Center will join the holiday kickoff by hosting its annual Tour of Homes and Silent Auction Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., with the silent auction happening at the Tullahoma Art Center from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The annual event is the major fundraising event for the day care center, which serves at-risk children in the Tullahoma area.
The President of the Board of Directors of the Tullahoma Day Care Center Kathy Rieder said the tour of homes is a holiday tradition for Tullahoma.
“It’s a fun day,” said Rieder.
Rieder said the silent auction is hosted by different venues each year and TAC reached out to volunteer to host.
“I think it’s a really neat gesture just because here is one non-profit lending a hand to another,” said Rieder.
TAC will also be a venue to tour on the tour of homes.
The items up for auction will come from members of the community.
“The generous donations of businesses and the community,” said Rieder.
When choosing the homes, Rieder said it’s a combination of asking home owners and people volunteering to support the daycare and its mission to “To Provide Affordable, Safe, Healthy and Nurturing Pre-School Child Care.”
“We’re just thankful that the community supports us,” said Rieder.
Tickets are available at $15 before the event and $20 on the day of the event.
Tickets can be purchased from any day care center board member or at any of the following locations: Traders Bank, Clayton Shoes, Creations Salon, T Michelle’s Clothiers, Smart Bank, the Flower Shoppe, 1st Choice Realtors, JP Design, the Downtown Avenues, or Hampton Creek.
Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event at the Tullahoma Art Center.
