BARTON, Evelyn Keith, 88, of Normandy, passed away Nov. 26, 2018, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. She was born in Winchester on Sept. 11, 1930, to John Keith and Daisy Roberson Keith who, along with her husband, Arthur “Buck” Barton, preceded her in death. Evelyn worked at AEDC and later as bookkeeper for Barton Implement in Manchester. She was a member of the Normandy United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughter Barbara Barton of Murfreesboro; son Richard and his wife Mary Lee of Normandy; son Bryan Keith Barton and wife Mary Jane of Normandy; grandchildren, Jill Barton, Kristen (Joey) Coriano, Leslie (Luke) Aaron, Greg (Monica) Barton, Beth (Eric) Grosch, Will Barton, Carrie Barton, Audrey Barton; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Laurie Raulston officiating. Burial followed at Bethany Cemetery in Normandy. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Central Funeral Home. Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
GIPSON, Joyce Evelyn, 86, of Decherd, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. Visitation was held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. HASTY, Billie Carolyn, 75, of Lynchburg, passed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018. Mrs. Hasty was born in Lynchburg to the late Roy (Spider) and Gladys Pierce Grammer. During her lifetime, Mrs. Hasty ran Anderson Street BP with her husband Jimmy for nearly 50 years, and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, playing the piano, and riding motorcycles with Jimmy. She was also a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Most of all though, she was a loving wife, mother, and granny. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hasty is survived by one son, Keith Hasty and his wife Kathy of Tullahoma; one sister, Nancy McGee of Flat Creek; two grandchildren, Lauren Hasty and her fiancé Ben Fults, and Matthew Hasty; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Mrs. Hasty will be held on from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Jason Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Lynchburg City Cemetery. OVERALL, Billy Wayne, 82, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018. Mr. Overall was born in Trenton to the late Nathaniel and Dorothy Flowers Overall. Mr. Overall served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He worked as an aeronautical engineer and project manager at Arnold Engineering Development Center for over 30 years, leading test programs for several of the Air Force’s key engine development programs as well as the Rolls Royce Trent 800 that powers the Boeing 777. Bill was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Tullahoma for 55 years, and a member of the Chapel Sunday School class. In his retirement, Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife Edna, and playing golf, often making time to play with his son and grandsons. He will be most remembered as a loving husband and father who always put his family first. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by one brother, James Overall. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Fowler Overall of Tullahoma; one son, Michael Wayne Overall of Orange Park, Florida; two daughters, Kathryn Jean Overall-Bates and her husband Donny of Murfreesboro, and Karen Jane Lodholz and her husband Steve of Franklin; one brother, Dr. Jerry Overall and his wife Anita of LaGrange, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Sawyer Bates, Conner Bates, Virginia Shockley and her husband Zachary, and Nicholas Lodholz and his wife Christina. A private graveside service for Mr. Overall will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton.
