Jack Lynn, 68, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at his home in Tullahoma. Graveside Services were scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home. Jack was born in Livingston, to the late Cecil and Winifred Lynn. He graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1971 where he was a member of the Tullahoma Track and Field team and held the record of the long jump for many years. Jack attended Motlow State College and later attended the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Shelbyville to become a Boilermaker. Jack worked as a Boilermaker for over 30 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union, Local Lodge 454. He retired from Arnold Air Force Base in 2011. He was also a member of the Estill Springs Masonic Lodge #561 F & AM. In addition, Jack enjoyed fishing, playing golf and hanging out with his friends at London’s Restaurant and Bar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Michael Lynn, and brother, Richard Lynn. Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Marla Lynn of Tullahoma; son, Dustin Lynn of Nashville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lynn of Arizona; nephew, Jeff Lynn and his wife, Anna of California and niece, Christine Rogers and her husband, Mark of Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Katherine White, 87, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Luther Lee Wilson & Eula (Watson) Wilson. Katherine worked for the Air Force for 30 years, including time in Japan before retiring in 1987. She earned many awards for her work in support of the mission at Arnold Air Force Base, ultimately concluding her career as secretary to the center commander. She and her late husband, Dempsey “Whitey” White, were avid square dancers and enjoyed time on the lakes near her hometown of Tullahoma. In retirement, they enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. Katherine and her husband also were charter members of the Christ Lutheran Church congregation in Fairfield Glade. Katherine is survived by her son, Andrew White (Jona); daughter, Angela White Ellis (Ralph); grandchildren, Meredith White Strauss (Brian), Nathan White, Carter White, Lauren White, Abigail Ellis and Samuel Ellis; and great-grandchildren, Shea Straus and Patten Strauss. In addition to her parents, Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Walton White; and sisters, Betty Wilson and Wanda Wilson. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Jenny Barnes officiating. Interment was at 3:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
