HICKS, James Harvey “Jim”, 69, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Hicks was born in Franklin to the late James H. Hicks Jr. and Sally Beatrice Edwards Hicks. He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and worked as an Environmental Engineer with AECOM. Mr. Hicks was also a longtime, dedicated member of Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Petty Hicks. Mr. Hicks is survived by his son, Jamie Hicks and his wife Brandy; two daughters: Jennifer Cope and her husband David, and Jana Hobbs and her husband Brad; three brothers: Bill Hicks and his wife Ramona, Ed Hicks and his wife Onita, and Dan Hicks; and six grandchildren: Madison, Molly, Gracie, Libbie, Emma and Ryan. Visitation for Mr. Hicks will be held on from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Dixon and Rev. Jim Norman officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. HODGES, John Mark, 48, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at his home. Mr. Hodges was born in Winchester to the late Dillon Wayne Hodges Sr. and Shirley Teters Hodges. He served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War and later worked as a meat cutter at Kroger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nola Preston Caldwell; sister Jennifer Maureen Hodges; grandfather James Polk Burks; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Hodges is survived by his wife Kristie Hodges; his daughter Mattie Hodges; his son Matthew Hodges (Katelyn); one brother Dillon Wayne Hodges Jr. (Tammy); two grandchildren: Braxton and Jessie; nieces, Jennifer Dow (Scott) and Emily Belcher (Cody); and his great-nieces Madeline, Madison and Kaylee Dow and Mayleigh Belcher. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at Kilgore Funeral Home with the funeral to immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. HOLMES, Elizabeth Ann Grammer, 85, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Erlanger Health Systems in Chattanooga. PARKS, Joseph Troy, 51, of Winchester, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1967, to the late Lee V. Parks and Josephine Weddington Parks and was a construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Lee Parks; sister, Brenda Ann Parks; and stepfather, Harvey Brown. Survivors include two daughters: Felicia (Kevin) Overcast of Christiana and April (Marty) Trussell of Estill Springs; three grandchildren; siblings Darlene Denson, Pamela Sons, Dale Parks, Ray Parks, Glen Parks, Carl Parks and Gary Parks; and several nieces and nephews. UNDERWOOD, Peggy, 70, of Tullahoma, passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at St. Thomas – West in Nashville. A celebration of life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Tullahoma Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Peggy was born in Tullahoma to the late Robert and Bessie Peters. She worked for the Coffee County Clerk’s Office before retiring. Peggy’s family was her pride and joy. Everything she did, she did for them. Peggy enjoyed traveling and she especially loved going to the beach. In addition to her parents, Peggy is also preceded in death by one sister, Lois Glasscock. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James “J.D.” Underwood; one son, Morgan Underwood (Amanda); one daughter, Amy Manderson (Charles); five grandchildren: Jordan Manderson (Loren), Kameron Underwood, Elijah Manderson, Jackson Manderson and Abilynn Underwood; one great-grandson, Grayson Manderson. YATES, James Otis, 88, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Life Care Center. Mr. Yates was born in Tullahoma to the late Chester and Maude Kimbrough Yates. During his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator for several different companies, most recently being at Coffee County Waste Management. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yates was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Yates; his son, Jimmy Yates; his daughter, Clara Lane Yates; one granddaughter, Chasity Yates; and his brother, John Thomas Yates. He is survived by his grandchildren Derek Yates (Stacey) and Lindsay Bogle (JT); and great-grandchildren Brandon Guess, Cloye Yates and Kylie Leann Bogle.
