In an absolute slugfest to the final buzzer, the West Middle School girls basketball team took their lumps, but found a way to battle back, coming up just short in the finals of the TMSAA Class AA State Final, losing to Martin 45-43 at Stewarts Creek High School on Saturday.

Despite leading at the end of the second and third quarters at home on Saturday, Tullahoma had to fend off a Shelbyville team that would not go away in the District 8-AAA Tournament Play-In Game. The Wildcats were able to do exactly that, ending the Golden Eagles’ season with a 53-50 win.
