Tullahoma fell behind early and could never keep up, losing its first road game of the year, falling to White County 66-53 on Monday.
With the loss, the Lady Wildcats fall to 0-3 on the season. Tullahoma is scheduled to return to the court on Monday when it travels to Oakland. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Against White County, Tullahoma could only manage seven points in the opening quarter. However, White County struggled as well, scoring just 12 points, to take a 12-7 advantage.
However, the Lady Warriors got the offense rolling in the second quarter, putting up 18 points in the period. Tullahoma added 13 of its own, led by Julia Duncan who scored nine points in the quarter, as the Lady Wildcats trailed 30-20 at halftime.
White County added 19 points coming out of the break, and led 49-35 heading into the fourth quarter. McKenna Buckner hit a pair of 3-pointers in the third period for the Lady Wildcats.
Duncan scored 10 points in the final quarter for Tullahoma, including hitting a 3-pointer and making five of her six free-throw opportunities. Jessica Edde added six points, including making four of five free throws. Macey Bowman hit a pair of free throws as well for THS.
White County spread the ball around in the final quarter, as seven players scored for the Lady Warriors, helping their team hold on for the victory. Kanden Reeves led White County in the final quarter with four points, while Gracie Dodgen added a 3-pointer of her own.
Dodgen drained five 3-pointers on the night for White County, totaling 15 points in the victory over Tullahoma. Kendrah Reeves added 12 points for the Lady Warriors.
Duncan led Tullahoma in scoring on the night, putting up 24 points. Edde scored nine points on the night for the Lady Wildcats, all coming in the second half.
Bowman finished with eight points, while Buckner added six points. Tyana Hardin put up four points and Charleigh Scott rounded out the scoring for Tullahoma with two points.
