Katharine Hills runs during the Henry Horton Midweek Relay. Hills finished fourth overall in the girls race.

Heading to Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, both the Tullahoma High School and Middle School cross-country teams put up solid performances during their outings.

At the high school level, Tullahoma was led by Katharine Hills, who finished fourth out of 80 runners during the 3.1-mile race. Tullahoma added another top-10 performance, coming from middle-schooler Grant Fogle, who placed third in the boys race.

Hills’ fourth-place effort saw her clock in with a time of 23 minutes and 5.70 seconds. Faith Powell, from Spring Hill, took first place overall in the girls race with a time of 20:55.56.

Iskadar Dohrmann was the only other THS girls runner as she finished 38th during the race. Dohrmann finished with a time of 27:35.30.

On the boys side, THS was led by Matt Qua, who took 32nd out of 150 runners. Qua clocked in at 20:02.02.

Andrew Brown took 38th at 20:25.44. Spencer Yoder placed 40th at 20:27.12. Grant King nabbed 55th at 21:23.53. Tristan Bunch finished 56th at 21:24.48. Brandon Cluckey took 70th at 21:47.41. Aiden Wagner placed 72nd at 21:51.47 and Justin Lemons rounded out the THS runners in 105th at 24:03.06.

At the middle school level, Fogle’s third-place effort saw him clock in at 11:53.97. A total of 117 runners took part in the middle school boys race with Spring Hill’s Tyson Peters taking first overall with a time of 10:52.27.

Jacob Hall also ran for the TMS boys, taking 15th at 12:54.20. Fisher Flowers placed 80th at 15:57.96.

In the middle school girls race, Tullahoma was led by Jordan Spry who finished 16th out of 100 total runners. Spry clocked in with a time of 14:41.28.

Zoe Barnett also ran for TMS, finishing 22nd at 15:14.22. Lexi Lester finished 23rd with a time of 15:26.43. Bella Rivera placed 25th at 15:29.65. Brooklyn Hampton placed 58th at 18:40.10.

The TMS team was scheduled to take part in the Milton Invitational on Saturday. As of press time, the results from that race were unavailable. Both the TMS and THS teams are then slated to travel to Fayetteville Invitational held at Don Davidson Park on Tuesday with races scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
