Tydrell Mitchell pins an Independence opponent earlier this season. Mitchell won both of his matchups on Tuesday night, when the Wildcats faced Cascade and Marshall County. 

Tullahoma only surrendered 12 points the entire night, as it dominated in a pair of wins at Cascade High School on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats opened their night with a shutout victory over Marshall County, going on to capture a 71-0 win. Tullahoma followed that with a 63-12 win over Cascade to conclude its night.

In their opening match, the Wildcats dominated from the start, as Braydin Partin (106) picked up a win by pin (six points). Partin pinned Christian Peete in 50 seconds to give Tullahoma a 6-0 edge.

Hayden Malone (120) and Caleb Adkins (126) both won their bouts by forfeit (six points). Chris McCreary then followed by pinning Chris Turner with 26 seconds left in the 132-pound matchup, giving the Wildcats a commanding 24-0 lead.

Justin Litchford (138) and Landen Willette (145) then won their matches by forfeit to increase Tullahoma’s lead to 36-0. Aaron Champion then picked up a third-round pin in the 152-pound bout, giving Tullahoma a 42-0 advantage.

Trint Partin (170) and Hunter Parks (182) also followed with pins in their bouts. Partin quickly pinned Colton Haun, while Parks pinned Bailey Johnson 48 seconds into the first round.

Christian Jordan followed by winning his matchup by technical fall (five points). In the 195-pound bout, Jordan dominated, taking a 19-4 lead 21 seconds into the second round, giving Tullahoma a 59-0.

Jacquez Elliott (220) won his matchup by forfeit. Tydrell Mitchell (285) closed out the match by pinning John Martin 51 seconds into the first round, giving Tullahoma the shutout victory.

Like their first match, the Wildcats dominated from the start against Cascade, jumping out to a 21-0 advantage.

Malone led off the match with a win, defeating drake Hodge by way of a 10-7 decision (three points). Adkins won his matchup by forfeit, before Cole Morse (132) and Dallen Nunely (138) won their matchups by pin. Morse pinned Tanor Parker 56 seconds into the second round, while Nunley pinned Caleb Fletcher 47 seconds into the first round.

Cascade got on the scoreboard thanks to a forfeit. Isaiah Smith went unopposed in his matchup, cutting the Wildcats’ lead to 21-6.

Tullahoma then won seven-straight matchups to pull ahead 63-6. The Wildcats won all seven of those bouts by pins.

Willette (152) first pinned Elijah Arnold with 35 seconds left in the first round. Champion (160) followed by pinning Conner Huie 58 seconds into the opening round.

Trint followed by pinning Austin Shelton with 46 seconds remaining in the second round. Parks then pinned Jason Clukey with 54 seconds remaining in the opening stanza.

Jordan then quickly pinned Cole West, just 15 points into the match. Elliott then added a win over Kaden Melton, scoring a pin with two seconds left in the third round. Mitchell rounded out the victories for Tullahoma, pinning Zach Becerra with 47 seconds left in the second round.

Cascade notched one final win to close out the match, as Conner Cobble pinned Braydin with 39 seconds remaining in the opening round.

Tullahoma is next scheduled to head to Lawrence County for a district matchup. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Wildcats will then return home for bouts against Coffee and Sequatchie counties. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m. That night will also be senior night for the THS wrestling teams.
