Traveling to Sewanee, the Tullahoma High School boys golf team competed in a nine-hole matchup against Grundy County and Franklin County on Tuesday.

As a team, the Wildcats finished second against the three teams, totaling an overall score of 186. Tullahoma was led by Andrew Cardosi, who scored a 35 during his matchup.

Sebi Aguirre added a 45 for the Wildcats. Chase Wiley followed with a 48, while Isaac Lynch rounded out Tullahoma’s score with a 58.

Franklin County took place in the matchup, combining to score 159. Grundy County rounded out the teams, combining for a 208.

The Tullahoma girls team also competed on Tuesday, but didn’t face off against a team. The Lady Wildcats combined to put up an overall score of 81 on the day.

Mallory TeVrucht led the Lady Wildcats with a score of 39. Grae Hicks also added a 42 for Tullahoma.

In high school golf, the girls score are determined by a team’s top two scorers. Ava Catherine Banks also competed for Tullahoma, as she put up a 44 on the day. However, her score did not go into the Lady Wildcats final tally.

Both Tullahoma teams are scheduled to head to WillowBrook Golf Course in Manchester on Wednesday to take part in the Golden Classic Invitational. The 18-hole matchup is scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.

Following that tournament, both Tullahoma teams will then host Marshall County for a nine-hole matchup on Thursday. Tee time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
