Test Pilots get walk-off win against the Jumpin’ Jacks

The Tullahoma Test Pilots were able to log an 11-10 walk off victory against the Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks, after trailing by one run going into the bottom of the ninth.
Jumpin’ Jacks
The Jumpin’ Jacks’ offense against the Test Pilots on June 9 was able to generate a bit more contact. They had 13 hits compared to Tullahoma’s five on the night. Despite that, the Test Pilots were able to stay in the high-scoring contest. That came directly from a couple of their hits being timely.
The five knocks for the Test Pilots came from Baylen Tuten, Ryan De La Maza, Jaxon Sheffield, Tyson Copley, and Andrew Monson.

In the ninth inning, the Test Pilots found themselves trailing by one run, and in the heat of the moment, Tullahoma gave great at-bat after great at-bat and came up clutch.
Their first two batters of the final frame got on base, both hitting singles. Monson, as the lead-off batter, hit his single on a hard ground call to center field, and Copley brought him home to tie the game at 10-10 with a pop fly single that also went to center field. Tullahoma’s next two batters, Sheffield and Evan Tomlin, both boarded the bases via walks, officially loading the bases for the Test Pilots with no outs. Jameson Van Ness then stepped into the batter’s box with a chance to win the game for Tullahoma and did not disappoint. He saw four straight pitches thrown as balls, which drew him a walk and put forth the winning 11th run across the plate for Tullahoma.
Flyin’ Frogs
The Test Pilots’ latest matchup season was against the Cookeville Flyin’ Frogs. They lost the contest 7-5.
Tullahoma’s main run production against Cookeville came in the top of the fifth and sixth innings. In these frames, they scored three of their five runs. These runs were brought in from three RBI hits by three different Test Pilots’ players—Sheffield, Tanner Tallent, and Jayron Morris.
Morris ended up being the star of the show for Tullahoma against Cookeville despite the loss. He was the lone Test Pilot with two or more hits, as he went 2-3 from the plate and also drew a walk. His other hit against the Flyin’ Frogs was a two-run home run hit to right field that came in the third inning.
The Test Pilots’ next two home games that fans can mark their calendars for are on Wednesday, June 17, against the Flyin’ Frogs and on Friday, June 19, against the Jumpin’ Jacks.
