Keeping it in the family — Austin Family Designs

For Alesia Austin, her company is all about family. It’s even in the company name, Austin Family Designs.

The business started online five years ago and has now grown to a new storefront location at 605 West Lincoln Street. The store opened May 27.

The store features many homemade products like 3D prints, wooden items, wristlets, car charms, keychains, paracord leashes and collars, wind spinners and dream catchers.

The Austins also customize many items like stickers, vinyl decals, sublimation products, cutting boards, puzzles and paintable plaster designs.

“I’m always trying to create new and fun products. We make items everyone can enjoy for years to come,” said Mrs. Austin.

Mrs. Austin grew up in Pennsylvania and her husband, Robert, grew up in Ashland City, Tennessee. According to Mrs. Austin, “Together, we felt Tullahoma was a great place to continue to raise our five children. Tullahoma is always doing fun things for families and we wanted to be part of that.”

What started as family craft projects, has now grown into a business. “Our family has always loved to craft and paint. What started as a hobby evolved due to people seeing our items and loving them. I was inspired to take my hobby and turn it into a business that everyone could enjoy.”

Family has always played an important role in the company according to Mrs. Austin. “Family is our company. If it wasn’t for the support of my husband, children and our loyal customers, this company wouldn’t be where it is today. We treat everyone like family.”

Austin Family Designs is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm.
