Will Hyden commits to Lindsey Wilson College

Will Hyden, senior for the Tullahoma football team, has recently announced where he will play football at the collegiate level. He will be continuing his playing career at Lindsey Wilson University, located in Columbia, Ky.

Hyden was a star for the Wildcats’ defense last year and throughout his whole high school career. He was constantly making an impact, so much so that it sometimes actively changed the trajectory of a game. In the entirety of his high school tenure, Hyden for THS had 210 total tackles. If he was in uniform, he never left a game where his presence was not felt by an opposing team.

The combination of Hyden’s speed and shiftiness, allowed him to get past offensive linemen constantly. In one of his sacks this past season, he was clocked in at a top speed of 21.3 miles per hour. These athletic abilities, along with the skill he possesses from all the work he has put in over his career, led him to have 15 career sacks and 31 tackles for loss.

One of Hyden’s biggest games this past season, which included some game-breaking plays, was in the season opener against Shelbyville Central High School. In this contest, Hyden had nine tackles, a fumble recovery, and a blocked field goal. Hyden, along with this big tackle total, had a game in 2025 where he logged 10 tackles. This was in a 28-14 win over Lawrence County. He also had two sacks and a blocked punt in this contest.

Hyden will take his flying around playstyle next school year to the Lindsey Wilson program, who are coming off a great season. The Blue Raiders last year went 10-2 overall. This was their highest win total since 2022.
