In a recent article entitled “Soapbox Derby roars back to life” there was mention that cars can cost $1000 in order to enter the Tullahoma race May 2 2026. The entire article was very informative and accurate except the Rec Department has 18 stock and 8 super stock already assembled cars that are first come first serve and are included in the $40 registration fee.

However if a participant wants to drive a new car then it can be ordered from the All American Derby in Akron at https://www.soapboxderby.org/racers/getting-started/ Then parent and child can build the kit together.
