Spaulding announces for county clerk
Donna Spaulding has announced her candidacy for Coffee County Clerk. The following is her complete announcement.
“My name is Donna Spaulding. I am honored to officially announce my candidacy for Coffee County Clerk with over 20 years of experience as a deputy clerk, becoming Chief Deputy in 2021. Earning my Public Administrator Certification in 2020 through the University of Tennessee’s County Technical Advisory Services which has given me a broader understanding of county government operations and the inner workings of county government.
I have been attending the County Officials Association of TN meetings, which provides vital support by offering specialized training and information resources to help Tennessee’s county officials run their governments more effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with state laws, ultimately better serve the taxpayers. Over the years, experiencing many changes within the clerk’s office, helping implement them, and succeeded in making changes to help the citizens of Coffee County more efficiently. The duties of the Clerk’s office manage essential public records and licenses as serving as the clerk for County Commission recording minutes/resolutions and handling vehicle titling, registration, marriage license, notary public application, business taxes, beef permits, boat registrations, hotel/motel taxes, dealer tags, manufactured homes decals, title registration and pawn broker license.
There are new changes coming to the clerk’s office in June 2026 which will be electronic titles and liens that will serve the citizens of Coffee County more efficiently. I have experience and knowledge of implementing changes and succeeding. Along with my coworkers I want to keep the Clerk’s Office moving into the 21st century, to serve the citizens of Coffee County to have a pleasant, smooth, and efficient experience.
I ask for your vote and support in the May 5th 2026 primary election and the August 6th 2026 Coffee County general election.”
