THS Boys’ bowling breakout year continues

The Wildcats boys’ bowling team on Dec. 1 picked up another win in the regular season. They defeated Lawrence County High School to remain undefeated on the year with a record of 9-0.

It was clear from game-one of the match that Lawrence was going to be a pretty tough team to beat for Tullahoma. But with some big scores they were able to get and hold the advantage in this match.

In game one, senior Jordyn Pilkington rolled the highest individual score to date this year for the boys’ team. He had a total of 268 pins. Korbin Thompson had the second-highest score for Tullahoma in game one with 214 pins.  These scores and along with solid production from the rest of the Wildcats, gave them a slight edge in pin total through game one, leading 1,173 pins to 1,083.

In game two, the Wildcats got big production from Britton Perry. He was the only Wildcat on the day to roll a score of 200 pins or higher in games one and two—he had 205 pins in game one and 246 in game two. JT Brooks also rolled a good game in this spot, getting 226 pins. Lawrence County had solid production in game two as well as a team, but it was by no means enough to get them into this game with the big scores out of the Wildcats. Tullahoma went on to win the pin total of this match, 2,636 to 2,304.

The Wildcats, following this win, will be back in action again on Dec. 8 for the team district tournament.
