With the end of the 2025 High School Football season in TN, some Wildcat football players have been recognized for their play this season. Five Tullahoma players were recently listed on the 4-5A All-Region second team—Lucas Reed, Jr Mares, Hunter Hall, Sylas McGowen, and Henry Kinsey.
Lucas Reed
The senior signal caller for the Tullahoma Wildcats football team, Lucas Reed, had a great 2025 season. This year, he threw for 1,283 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was also second in rushing yards on the team, with 256 yards on 65 carries, and had four TDs on the ground. Reed’s best game this year came against rival Coffee County High School. He had a combined five touchdowns, three through the air and two on the ground, while also throwing for 260 yards.
Along with all of what Reed brought as a player, he was one of the best leaders on this team throughout the 2025 season. What all Reed brought to this team will certainly be missed come the 2026 season.
Jr Mares
Senior offensive and defensive tackle Jr Mares, in what he provided for this team on both sides of the ball, helped earn him All-Region Second Team. Defensively, in the year, he was a great run stopper. One of his best games of the season came against White County High School, where he had four solo tackles. He also had a fumble recovery against Coffee County in the second week of the season.
Hunter Hall
The junior guard and defensive tackle, Hunter Hall, played a big role in Tullahoma having a great run game this season. Standing at 5’6” and often going against players bigger than him, Hall was never phased, and gave it all he had on the gridiron. It will be exciting to see what player Hall can turn into in his fourth year as a Wildcat.
Sylas McGowen
Defensive end for Tullahoma, Sylas McGowen, had some big games in his final year for Tullahoma. He was a menace on the edge and was constantly pressuring opposing QBs. In that, he broke through against the Red Raiders and balled out. Against Coffee Co. he had five tackles assist, multiple QB pressures, one sack, and one forced fumble.
Henry Kinsey
Senior offensive tackle Henry Kinsey had a strong close to his high school career. Kinsey’s intensity and size as a player were a lethal combo that gave opposing players problems all year. Players had a tough time getting around him in the passing game, and he did a good job of opening up gaps for star RB for the Wildcats’ RB, Marvancy Johnson Jr., in the run game.
