Flip the Switch kicks of Christmas in Tullahoma
L
For the fourth year, the Tullahoma Community Foundation is hosting Flip the Switch, a fun afternoon for children of all ages. The lighting of the Christmas tree and other activities at Caboose Park will take place Saturday, Nov. 29, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
One of the big attractions of the afternoon is the petting zoo. Party Animal owner Teresa Hinds is bringing her menagerie to the park including porcupines, goats, calves, camels and other exotic creatures the children can pet and feed.
There will be several vendors including a BBQ food truck and pretzel truck and several craft vendors. Drawings for back packs will be held along with games and thumb prints on the tree.
Special guest, Mrs. Claus, will arrive on a Tullahoma fire truck. The Grinch will also make an appearance.
A highlight of the afternoon is the drawing to see which child gets to ‘flip the switch’ and light the large Christmas tree at the park.
Concession and vendors are welcome. For a vendor application contact Lewis and Orr Realtors at 455-3447.
