Jon Thomas “Tommy” York Obituary
Jon Thomas “Tommy” York, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital at the age of 78.
Mr. York was born in Tullahoma to the late William F. York, Jr. and Willette Vandygriff York. During his life he owned and operated Tullahoma Parts and Service. He also had worked at both Bumble Bee Boats and Javlin Boats as a Purchasing Agent. Mr. York also had an antique shop in Bell Buckle and loved attending auctions and yard sales with his wife, Pat, to find different and unique antiques. In his younger years, he loved to roller skate, and had won numerous skating championships in both Tennessee and Georgia. Mr. York was an avid bass fisherman and had won a Professional Bass Fisherman Title. He also loved hunting, camping, and water skiing with his family, as well as riding his Harley Davidson. He was an avid Tennessee Vols Football and Basketball fan and loved being able to attend games whenever he could. He loved NASCAR and considered Daytona Beach his “second home” and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy York. Mr. York is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pat York; one brother, Bill York; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral to immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tom Murdock officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
