Four Lady Wildcats earn all-district second-team honors
GRAY DEYOSports Writer
The Lady Wildcats soccer team, who are now district champs, have had several individual players recognized for their superb play throughout the 2025 regular season. This includes four of the Lady Wildcats players who were recently named to the all-district second team—Faith Vincent, Addison Vincent, Lauren Nichols, and Abbie Grace Cox.
Faith Vincent
Faith Vincent earned second-team honors after her dynamic play this season. She is great at cutting off and stopping the start of offensive attacks of opponents, and she also brings a lot to the Tullahoma program on the offensive side of things. This season, through 16 games, Vincent chipped in four goals and three assists. Her best game of the season offensively came in a 9-0 win over Lawrence County. In the game, she secured four points–two assists and one goal. She will still be a part of the program next year and will be a big piece in the 2026 season in keeping the ‘Cats a prominent program in the district and the state of TN as a whole.
Abbie Grace Cox
Senior Abbie Grace Cox was the veteran presence this team needed as their final line of defense, besides their keeper. Her leadership and experience shined this season in the Lady Wildcats, keeping points off their opponents’ side of the scoreboard. And while her main task was defending in spots, she also showed off her ability to playmaker. In the season, Cox had four assists. This was shown especially over a stretch of four games spanning from Sept. 16-25 where she had an assist in three of the four games Tullahoma played. This play from her overall in 2025 made her a more than worthy candidate for earning a spot on the second team in the district.
Lauren Nichols
Senior Lauren Nichols put together a great last year of soccer for Tullahoma, earning her a spot on the all-district second team. She, like the rest of the players on this list, provided great defense. On the year offensively, she had two goals and two assists in the 14 matches she played. Her hard work and dedication to the ‘Cats program will set a tone for the newcomers who step into her role and position on the team in the future.
Addison Vincent
The amount of talent in the Tullahoma girls’ soccer program as a whole runs deep, and sophomore Addison Vincent is a primary example of this, as she was named to the all-district second team. Addison was one of the better defenders in the district this season, shutting down offensive pushes with ease and clearing and setting up Tullahoma’s own attack often. Her effort and effectiveness on the defensive side were huge parts in the Lady Wildcats’ only allowing seven goals in 16 games this season.
