Tree Board launches Outdoors Wild Club

The Tullahoma Tree Board has re-opened its program for teens in an effort to connect them with nature instead of their electronics.

The Outdoors Wild Club is now open for enrollment to students in grades 6-12 during September. The club will follow the school calendar and offer eight programs and events either after school or on weekends. Some of the most popular programs are the trips to the Woodbury Christmas Tree Farm and Tims Ford Park Nature Center and Lost Creek Overlook Trail. The club will also participate in the city’s Arbor Day program and Tennessee Tree Day at the South Jackson Performing Arts Center.

Students who join the club will select other events. In each event, an adult is required to host the student. One adult can host up to three student club members. While most events are free, some have charges of up to $15.

Students who want to join the Outdoors Wild Club can tell their science teachers or contact cgconley9@gmail.com. An in-person, meet-n-greet registration will be held at the Rotary Disc Golf Course and Arboretum in early October.
