Ashley Abraham, Head Tennis Coach for Tullahoma High School, has decided to step down prior to the 2026 season.
“This personal decision was not made lightly, as it has been an incredible honor to serve in this role,” Abraham said of her departure from the helm of the program.
Over the past several years—both at the high school and previously at the middle school level—she has enjoyed working with our student-athletes and their families.
“Watching these young individuals grow in skill, confidence, and character has been one of the most rewarding experiences,” Abraham said”
Due to increasing demands on her career with the United Way of South Central merger and the responsibilities of being a mother to four wonderful children, she has decided to step away from coaching currently to focus on these priorities.
“I believe there is a season for everything, and for me, this is a time of growth in other important areas of my life,” She said. “Coaching has been one of the most rewarding highlights of my life and meeting many great families in our community. The honor has been mine and I have appreciated the communities support through growing this program. My kids are at the age where they’re becoming more involved in sports and extracurricular activities, and I don’t want to miss out on those special moments with them.” Abraham states.”
She remains committed to supporting a smooth and successful transition to the next head coach and will assist in any way she can during this process and throughout the season.
“While I may be stepping away from the sidelines, my support for this team and community remains unwavering,” she said.
With her departure, Abraham said she is thankful for all the support shown to her and the program during her years as coach.
“Thank you for the trust, support, and countless memories,” she said. “It has been a privilege to be part of this program. Tennis has always been part of my life and sharing my love for the game to the community has been an incredible experience. Coaches, parents, and players – I’ve loved every second. I will always be near or on a court. GO WILDCATS!”
