If you can’t wait until October 31^st to get your ‘Halloween Fix’, check out Haunted in downtown Tullahoma.

The 2,400 sq. ft. retail space is full of all fun things, creepy, Gothic and spooky.  The store opened in December.   Haunted is the brainchild of three generations of the same local family:  Grandma Patty Cooper, mom Heather Reichle and daughter Hannah Reichle.   Each have their own distinct personalities and work responsibilities at the store.

There are hundreds of unique, creative, spooky and dark items throughout this Gothic emporium.  The ladies offer hand-made Gothic jewelry, incense, custom t-shirts, purses, sun catchers, wind chimes, candles, cloaks, capes and mugs.   Many of the items have a Victorian theme.  A popular item are the mystery boxes.

Hannah is the creative artist of the three.  Her original work includes custom framed and matted works of art.  She also uses many other mediums for her artwork, including metal, wood, resin, paint and fabric.  Her mother says her art is a little dark and “witchy”.  There is also artwork displayed by local artists.  The store also has a full line of metaphysical goods like crystals and candies.

According to Heather, the family has always loved spooky, fun things.

“As we collected more and more items we decided to open a retail store.  We love being in downtown Tullahoma.  Initially, all our customers were from Tullahoma.  Now we see customers every day from Nashville, Chattanooga, Huntsville and every place in between.  There is nothing like Haunted anywhere around us.  We are very much a regional store.”

Heather’s husband, Eric, built the large ornate door that separates the retail part of the store and Hannah’s studio.  Eric is also renovating the 1,400 sq. ft. area upstairs. The ladies plan to lease the upstairs to area artists.

The ladies emphasize there is nothing satanic about Haunted.  “We just celebrate the fun part of Halloween; we are a fun store,” offered Heather.

In addition to the items in the store, on Saturdays Haunted hosts tarot, psychic and tea leaf readings.

Haunted is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 125 W. Lincoln Street.
