The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen honored Tullahoma’s 12U all-star team after the baseball team won the state championship and then made a strong showing at the Regionals in Ft. Myers last month.

The team went undefeated in the district and state tournaments. The title game was against host Lawrenceburg and Tullahoma won that game 4-0. Winning the state title punched their ticket to the Regional tourney in Ft. Myers Fla. where they played against teams from Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. Tullahoma won its first game against Virginia. They also won game four going 2-2 at the Regionals. Their overall season record was 10-2.

Mayor Lynn Seaborn revealed coaches and boosters fundraised almost $30,000 to make the Ft. Myers trip possible.

Honored were Jordan Bunn, Preston Smith, Colson Ray, Sean Marsh Smith, Maddux McCallon, Weston Wheeler, Corbin McShea, Liam Tipps, Sawyer Smith, Preston Silvertooth, Kingston Bunch, and coaches including Head Coach David Smith, Assistant Coach James Bunn and Dan McShea.

“What you guys accomplished was nothing short of amazing,” Coach Smith told his team after the award presentation. “I’m proud of you. As far as achievements, you guys did it, not us.”
