Praying for our democracy
I feel compelled or have a right to mention the following. I care very much for our country and freedom. Many individuals have given their lives so that we can enjoy being Americans.
My Dad was in WWII Battle of the Bulge. I still remember when I was five-years-old my mother screaming when she received a telegram that he was missing in action. The second telegram three months later informed her that he had been killed. It was a year later when they offered to bring his body back. He was buried in Belgium. My grandad and mother decided not to bring him back. Yes, I have visited his grave.
My Dad was a Browning Automatic Rifleman (BAR) there was one in a squad. Their life expectancy was three minutes in battle. My Dad volunteered to go on patrol the night he was killed. My uncle, his brother, was a Sergeant Major who fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He, my aunt and their son, a Major, are buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Another brother of my Dad’s was a chaplain during WWII.
I ponder over certain groups who voted for the president. My guess is that some would be Nazis in this country, Communists in this country. KKKers, Poor I mean Proud boys and any other organization that wants to overthrow our country. Russia, China and North Korea are laughing at us now.
On top of that we are alienating over 27 countries who are our allies. We cannot continue to exist as a country without them.
One way to save millions of dollars is to ground Airforce 1 and 2. No more golfing trips.
Another thought is to relieve the Secret Service of their White House duties and tell them to work together with ICE and Home Security. Their focus should be entirely on eliminating school shootings in America. Assault weapons should be gathered and given to the police or military. If not needed, they should be destroyed. Owners could be paid for their loss by the government. Manufacturers should have the police and military as their only customers.
Destroying the FBI and our Justice System is a major mistake!
This is all in God’s hands!
I pray for our democracy. I know what my Bible says. We are supposed to respect our leaders unless they are demanding something contrary to God’s word and take care of immigrants.
