Local pitcher Zeyrin Perkins, son of Carl and Victoria Perkins of Tullahoma pitched a shutout in Murfreesboro for the three day 2025 Tennessee Youth baseball Association 10U Kid Pitch State Championship.

Zeyrin is pitcher for 10U travel baseball team Tennessee Elite coached by Marquis Morton. The team played one game Friday, two on Saturday and three on Sunday. Zeyrin pitched the first game final score eleven to four and the sixth which was the championship game final score eight to zero. He rallied with fellow teammates going undefeated bringing in sixty six runs while only giving up nine.

If Zeyrin isn’t playing in a tournament or at practice he’s practicing at home. In May at the 2025 Perfect Game Nashville World Series Qualifier open he ranked twenty-sixth pitching and forty-second batting. Zeyrin will be entering the sixth grade at West Middle School.
