About Alisa Childers
Alisa Childers is an apologetics speaker and author of “Another Gospel, The Deconstruction of Christianity” and “Live Your Truth and Other Lies.” She also hosts a podcast called “The Alisa Childers Podcast.”
Childers describes herself as a lifelong churchgoer and follower of Jesus, raised in a Christian home seeing her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless and love the outcast. She is also a former CCM recording artist with the Dove award-winning group ZOEgirl and never thought she would question her Christian faith. However, all that was deeply challenged when she began to study under a progressive pastor.
“I experienced a period of profound doubt about my faith in my mid-thirties. I felt as though I had been tossed in a stormy ocean of uncertainty with no life jacket or lifeboat in sight,” she said. “I didn’t know where to find answers to my questions, or if answers existed at all. Did I have to accept it all on some kind of blind faith? I began to investigate my faith intellectually—I took seminary classes and read everything I could get my hands on. This began my journey from unreasoned doubt into a vibrant, rational, and informed faith.”
Through her struggle, wrestling with questions that struck at the core of her Christian faith, she found the truth and dedicated her life to helping equip Christians to confront cultural lies with biblical truth and stand firm in a culture increasingly at odds with God’s Word.
