Virginia Ann Amacher Obituary

Virginia Ann Amacher of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Morning Point Assisted Living in Tullahoma at the age of 91 years. A native of Lois, Tenn., she is the daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Jane Sullinger Frame. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James Earl Amacher in 2022, son, James Terry Amacher in 2022, brothers R. W. (Robert Wilson) Frame, Forest Leon Frame, sisters, Clara Frances Frame, Emma Ophelia Brazier, Betty Joyce Leslie, and Mary Evelyn Whitmeyer.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from the chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home with Pastor Don Burkhalter officiating. Burial followed in Lynchburg City Cemetery.

Virginia was a high school graduate and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Lynchburg. She spent 12 years working for the City of Lynchburg at the Superintendent’s office and then later went on to work at Jack Daniel’s Distillery giving them 30 years of service before her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading and studying her bible the most. She loved God and was very solid in her belief. She was very active in her church and enjoyed the time spent with her church family. She loved the city of Lynchburg and was always reaching out to those who needed encouragement or kind words with letters, cards and food. Virginia loved her family and all of those who touched her life. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered for many years to come.

Survivors include her son, Gregory (Mary) Amacher of Estill Springs, daughter in law, Deborah Amacher of Manchester, sisters, Annie Lou Tomlin of Lois, Tenn., Peggy Ruth (Arvis) Bobo of Lynchburg, and grandchildren, Samantha (Ky) Brazelton of Decherd, and Lexie (Josh) Phillips of Estill Springs.
