Nannie, Annie Catherine Gray, 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday July 9, 2025, surrounded by family after a life filled with love, service, and joy. A proud daughter of Huntland, Tenn.; she was born on June 26, 1936, to James Madison Ballard and Willie (Taylor) Ballard.

Visitation was held Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services followed Monday, July 14, 2025 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment was held at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Cole Scott, Fhilip Franklin, Bradley Drake, Brad Tennyson, Jay Ballard, and John Ballard serving as pallbearers and James “Butch” Ballard, Jay “Buck” Ballard, and Bobby Morris served as honorary pallbearers. Each of these pallbearers held a special place in Nannie’s heart.

Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
