In their final season of high school softball, seniors Kylee Holt and Madison Goad did not go out quietly. On June 7, the two were named to the 3A All-State team by the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association.
Kylee Holt
Holt behind the plate, playing catcher, has been a staple of this team ever since she arrived at THS. Over the years, she has provided consistent high-level play and has been a big part of helping Tullahoma turn a new chapter in being a successful team once again. Here are some of her best games from the 2025 season.
On March 7, against Shelbyville Central, Holt was automatic at the plate. She went 4-4 in the game with all hits being singles. She had two RBIs and scored three runs. Holt’s performance helped the Lady Wildcats pick up their first win of the season, winning 14-4.
On April 3 in a 15-0 win over Franklin County, the senior catcher struck her lone homer of the season. Holt went 3-5 from the plate with five RBIs. She had two RBI singles in the fourth and sixth. She then hit a three-run inside the park home run later in the sixth.
On April 8 in a 9-8 win against Marshall County, Holt had another three-hit game. This game was won by a Kaitlynn Gattis walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh.
Holt’s play this year garnered some outside attention. She was named as a nominee for Nashville area girls’ athlete of the week. This came after a 2-3 hitting performance in a 13-0 win against Moore County on April 29. Her two hits were a double and a triple.
Madison Goad
Goad no longer being at Tullahoma will not be an easy reality to come to terms with. But it will be fun to see her perform at the next level in college at Volunteer State. Here are some of her best games from her senior season.
Like Holt, Goad played a big part in Tullahoma’s first win of the season against Shelbyville. She also went 4-4. She had four RBIs, three runs scored, and a home run in the contest. Her, Holt, and the rest of the ‘Cats gave a sneak peek of what was to come for the rest of the season, as they racked up an eye-popping 20 hits in the game.
On her way to setting the all-time school record for most home runs in a season, the senior slugger added another great game to her resume in the same month. On March 18 against Franklin County, Goad went 2-2 with both of her two hits being shots over the fence. She recorded a three-run home run in the first inning and followed up with a solo home run in the third. The Lady Wildcats went on to win 10-3. This win was part of an 11-game win streak stretching from March 13 to April 8.
On April 15, Goad had another two-home-run game in a 14-1 win over South Pittsburg. Goad went 3-3 with a team-high six RBIs. Goad’s homers were both three-run shots, both coming in the first inning. This game only ended up going to the top of the fourth before it was stopped due to the mercy rule.
On April 22, against Blackman, Tullahoma won 15-7. Goad led the team in RBIs once again with five. She went 2-4 with both of her hits again being homers. She also had a walk to go along with this performance.
With all the success Goad had in the regular season, she showed she could still show up when it ultimately mattered in the postseason. Against Giles County on May 7 she went 1-2 with two walks. Her lone hit was a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning. This shot over the right field fence sealed the fate of Giles, making the scoreboard shine the eventual final tally of the game, a 7-1 Tullahoma win.
This week Goad will participate in the 2025 All-Star All-State Game. This event features some of the best softball talent in TN.
