Tullahoma City Schools is excited to welcome Rhonda Stevens back to the district, as she has been hired as the new principal at East Lincoln Elementary School.
“I am immensely grateful and profoundly excited,” Stevens said. “This is more than just a role, it’s a homecoming for me. I love the wonderful Tullahoma community, the people and the commitment the city has to education. Educating students is not just a career, it is a passion, a privilege and a calling for me. Being a principal in the community I call home, and one where I raised my children, is beyond exciting. I am just so very humbled and blessed to have this opportunity.”
Stevens is returning to TCS after she spent 11 years as an elementary school teacher at Robert E. Lee Elementary School. She left the district in 2020 to become an assistant principal at South Middle School, and then was named principal at Broadview Elementary School in 2021, a title she has held since then. Stevens is taking over for Scott Hargrove, who left to serve as Director of Coffee County Schools.
“It is always exciting to welcome back an outstanding educator to Tullahoma City Schools. I am thrilled that Rhonda will be returning as principal at the Eagles Nest,” said TCS Director of Schools Dr. Catherine Stephens. “From speaking to Rhonda and those who know her, it is clear that her passion and dedication to serving are focused on students and making a positive difference in their lives. Principal Stevens is committed to creating a positive learning environment for all students and staff. She loves working alongside dedicated teachers and staff members and knows she will be joining an excellent team at ELE. I know she is excited and eager to meet her staff and get to know the East Lincoln Elementary families. We are excited for her to join us in the vision of challenging students today for a limitless tomorrow.”
