City officials have announced that road work has begun at the Kings Lane and Country Club Drive intersection, starting as of Monday, June 16.

Per the statement, Tullahoma Public Works is working to enhance the Kings Lane and Country Club Drive intersection to improve traffic flow and safety. This project will add dedicated deceleration and turn lanes in all three directions.

As for recent activity, city officials said utility crews have been relocating utility poles over the last several weeks in preparation for construction. As for what to expect, residents will see the active construction zone, road crews being present during work hours, additional traffic signage posted throughout the project area and temporary traffic pattern changes.

“Exercise extra caution when traveling through this intersection,” officials said. “Reduce speed, maintain safe following distances, and watch for construction workers and equipment.”
