Tullahoma football holds Lift-A-Thon

GRAY DEYOSports Writer

The Tullahoma football team this past week hosted a Lift-A-Thon.

All current players gathered in the Wildcat weight room participate in three lifts: bench, power clean, and squat. The result of each lift was priced out by a dollar amount per pound or a flat rate. The results of those numbers then went straight into the Wildcat football program, with some money liquidating directly towards purchasing a product called Titan Vest. It’s a vest becoming popular in football that players wear, and it can track their performance and movement data in depth.

These Wildcat players have been hard at work since their season ended. Within a week after losing to Nolensville in the playoffs, they were back in the facility working out as a team. You can see the chip on the coaches and players.

They finished with a 6-5 overall record last year and finished third in the district with a 4-2 record.

Football is still a ways away, with the first game not starting till August, but summer goes fast. Before you know it, the Wildcats will be running out onto the field at Wilkins Stadium, ready to prove a point.
