Lady ‘Cats run rule Magnet, South Pitt

The Tullahoma Lady Wildcats put a whooping on Central Magnet and South Pittsburg on back-to-back nights, outscoring them 30-1 in the pair of blowout wins in games that were stopped by the umpire due to the run rule.
The Lady ‘Cats first handed it to Central Magnet 16-0 before sinking the Lady Pirates from South Pittsburg, 14-1.
The Central Magnet game was called after three innings due to the run rule as the Lady ‘Cats did all their damage in the opening three innings, scoring three in the first, eight in the second and five in the third before umpire stoppage. Tullahoma outhit their guests 11-to-1 and were flawless in the field while the girls from Murfreesboro made five fielding errors.
Amaya Sharpe was very sharp from the circle in her three innings of work as she fanned two and walked one on 35 pitches. Meanwhile, Madison Goad continued her dominant season, slugging another ball over the fence on her way to knocking in five runs on a two-for-three day at the dish. Kalee Holt had a three-bagger in her two-for-two day at the plate, scoring two runs while knocking in one. Ellie Simpson also had a good day at the dish, going two-for-three with two RBI and two runs scored. Maggie Lynch was two-for-three with the bat and scored three runs. Aleigha Raby had two RBI and a run-scored during her one-for-three day at the dish.
Madison Goad doubled her homerun total from the Central Magnet blowout as she pounded a pair of dingers out of the ballpark against South Pittsburg. She was three-for-three at the plate, scored three runs and had six RBI in a game that was virtually over after the home half of the first inning in which the Lady ‘Cats scored 10 runs. Tullahoma added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth and the game was stopped due to the run rule after South Pittsburg was unable to respond in the top of the fourth.
Tullahoma outhit their guests nine-to-two and again played flawless defensive ball while the Lady Pirates made there fielding errors. Goad was the only Lady ‘Cat with multiple hits; however, Addyson Norman was able to bring in two and score two herself in a one-for-one performance at the plate. Kaitlynn Gattis was one-for-three at the dish with three RBI. Gattis and Raby had doubles while Kalee Holt swiped a base. Avanley Metcalf worked the whole way in the circle, fanning six and walking one on 55 pitches.
